A Small History of Massage as an Ancient Art

Massaging babies is an ancient art, and in many cultures, it was passed down from generation to generation, from mother to daughter. Modern times have allowed not only mothers but also fathers to become a part of this tradition. I am proud to say that many fathers attend my baby massage courses, seeking quality time to share with their infants.

Becoming an infant massage instructor and offering courses for parents has been a profound transformation in my life. I am deeply grateful to all the families I have worked with for honoring me with the opportunity to help strengthen the bonds with their children.

You can learn to massage your baby from the first month of life or when they are older. The key is the desire to connect through touch, positively and lovingly. There is no age limit for massage; in fact, it is beneficial for both infants and older children and teenagers.

It is important to emphasize that massage is not only relaxing for your baby but also a wonderful way to strengthen the family bond. It teaches your baby what it means to be touched in a loving, nurturing, and appropriate way.

In baby massage classes, only you touch your baby; they are your true teacher. I demonstrate the movements using one of my baby dolls. The classes are very peaceful and relaxed, always following the babies’ pace, allowing time for diaper changes, feeding, and getting comfortable. And yes, crying is always welcome!

Some benefits of infant massage include:
